SUMMARY
FHLBank San Francisco AHAC Report was designed to communicate the bank’s community impact through a clear, flexible visual system built for a fast-moving production timeline.

CHALLENGE
FHLBank San Francisco needed a refreshed AHAC Report design on an extremely compressed timeline. With only about a week to present initial concepts and move directly into production, the challenge was creating a strong visual direction while working with evolving content and limited time for exploration.
One of the biggest design challenges was developing custom infographics. As data and graphs continued to shift throughout the process, I needed to create a system that could be adapted quickly while maintaining consistency across the entire report.

DESIGN THINKING
The previous report felt dense and heavily content-driven, so my goal was to create a more open and editorial experience—one that allowed the content, photography, and data to breathe.
I focused on using full-bleed imagery, intentional negative space, bold typography, and the existing gradient system to create a more modern and engaging visual language.
Because of the tight timeline, I also had to think beyond individual pages and build a system that could be easily replicated. The goal was to create something that felt elevated and thoughtfully designed without relying on overly complex layouts or production-heavy elements.
OUTCOME
The final report created a refreshed visual experience that balanced both the storytelling and visuals of a copy heavy report.
The FHL Bank of San Francisco team responded extremely positively to the final design, with our main client contact sharing the work beyond the immediate project team and presenting it during a larger conference room meeting.
